Welcome to Concert manager! @ MentDB Weak

Concert manager is the band book of MentDB Weak: a web application to manage a song library with lyrics and chords and to build the set list of each concert. Chords are transposed automatically, for the band, for a concert or for each musician.

01 What you manage

SONGS LibraryTitle, lyrics with chords on two columns, default transposition, tempo, finished flag and a YouTube link.
BAND MusiciansUp to 9 musicians per song, each with their own transposition, for example for a transposing instrument.
CHORDS TranspositionThe chords of the lyrics are transposed automatically for the song, for a concert or for a musician.
EDITOR Chord pickerWhile editing, pick a chord among those already used in the song, or among all the variants of each root.
CONCERTS Set listsDate, location, notes and an ordered list of songs, with a transposition per concert.
STAGE Live pageA light page for phone or tablet: the songs in order, finished marker, transposition, tempo and YouTube link.

02 Built for the stage

  • Printable songs: a clean song page, two columns on a large screen and one on a phone, with print colours kept.
  • Reorder on the fly: users with the right change the order of the set list directly from the concert page.
  • Rights per action: access to the songs and every action are controlled by MentDB tags; the other users only see the concerts.
  • Concert administration: only system adds or deletes a concert.
  • Multilingual: every label is a translation key, delivered in English and French.
How it fits together → Concert manager is a MentDB Weak application: one MQL file (concertmanager_1.0.5.mql) installs the scripts, the tables, the translations, the rights tags and the logos. Musicians open the concert page on their phone on stage.
